Emily Roehler

Chief Meteorologist Emily Roehler joined the 6 News First Alert Weather Team in October 2021 — but it's not her first time forecasting in Nebraska.

Emily started her career as the Weekend Meteorologist at NTV News in Kearney, Neb., covering Central Nebraska and North Central Kansas. From there, she moved to Colorado Springs, CO as KKTV 11 News’s Weekend Meteorologist before being promoted to weekday mornings. Emily left KKTV but stayed in Colorado, moving to WeatherNation in Denver where she covered the weather across the country on the national cable network. Emily returned to Colorado Springs in 2018 as the Weekday Evening Meteorologist for FOX21 News covering blizzards, tornadoes, and flooding (sometimes all in the same day).

Emily is excited to make a return to forecasting in "The Good Life" state and looks forward to exploring eastern Nebraska and western Iowa with her dog, Jax. She also has a cat, Nyx, but she isn’t much for exploring. When Emily isn’t in the weather center, you can probably find her enjoying the outdoors.
