Multimedia storyteller Brent Weber brings a broad range of experience to his role with WOWT.
Brent has worked as a news and sports anchor and reporter at the local and national levels, including several years as an award-winning correspondent with CNN. During his sports career he worked as play-by-play voice for several schools and teams, and was sideline reporter for the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder.
Brent has a Master’s from the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass media, where he completed work on his documentary film Real Live Angels, chronicling the efforts of a summer camp for special needs individuals.
He began his career in radio in Atlanta where he worked as an intern at CNN while obtaining his BA from Georgia State University. He has also published a book for young sports and news enthusiasts, The Sports Guy: Scorecard Scribblings from an Ordinary Journalist; and is a proud dad to daughter Nicole Savick Weber, an accomplished actor based in Minneapolis.
