BLAIR, Neb. (WOWT) - Blair Police announced Monday afternoon that murder suspect Elijah Logan turned himself in without incident.

Logan turned himself in to the Metro Fugitive Task Force at 2:39 pm. near 24th and Camden Avenue in Omaha.

Police were searching for Logan for several days on a warrant for first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Blair Police say they anticipate a charge of homicide will be added.

The intense search went on for 22-year-old Elijah Logan of Council Bluffs over the weekend and into Monday morning. He’s accused of shooting the mother of his child and killing her brother.

Logan had been on the run since Friday when investigators say he busted into a home in Blair — down the street from the high school — around 6:30 in the morning.

The mother told investigators he shot her in the legs several times. Her infant was with her and not harmed. Police say Logan is the father of the child.

The mother’s brother, 34-year-old Jordan Ely, was shot and killed. The family set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses.

It happened at their home at 10th and Park near Blair high school. The suspect, Elijah Logan, did not live there. He lives in Council Bluffs according to investigators.

In court documents, detectives determined that he had parked in an alley behind the home. The mother said Logan fled in his green Jeep SUV with license plate NAM032. Police were searching for it for several days.
