NWS confirms tornados touched down Tuesday in southeast Nebraska

The National Weather Service on Wednesday confirmed two EF-0 tornados briefly touched down in rural southeast Nebraska on Tuesday evening.
The more powerful tornado touched down along the Nemaha-Richardson county line, two miles north of Stella. The other was a mile north of there, in southern Nemaha County, the NWS report states.
Only minor tree damage was observed, indicating wind speeds of about 60-65 mph, the report states.
The NWS office in Topeka, Kan., corroborated the Omaha/Valley office reports.
